Curtea Internațională de Justiție (CIJ), principalul organ judiciar al Organizației Națiunilor Unite, a confirmat, marți, că va organiza audieri pe 7 și 8 martie despre războiul din Ucraina, relatează The Guardian.
CIJ avertizează Rusia că este acuzată de genocid și îi cere să se supună eventualelor ordonanțe.

THE HAGUE, 1 March 2022. Judge Joan E. Donoghue, President of the International Court
of Justice, the principal judicial organ of the United Nations, addressed today an urgent
communication to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, with a copy to the
Government of Ukraine, in the case concerning Allegations of Genocide under the Convention on
the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (Ukraine v. Russian Federation).
The text of this communication is reproduced below:
“I have the honour to refer to the Request for the indication of provisional
measures filed in the proceedings instituted by Ukraine against the Russian Federation
on 26 February 2022.
Acting in conformity with Article 74, paragraph 4, of the Rules of Court, I hereby
call the attention of the Russian Federation to the need to act in such a way as will enable
any order the Court may make on the request for provisional measures to have its
appropriate effects.”
